How to Download All Posts From an Instagram Profile

There is no official button to download someone else's whole profile. Here are the three real options, what each one covers, and which to pick.

Public content only. No account, no login.

First, whose profile is it?

If it's your own account, start with Instagram's official export: open Accounts Center, then Your information and permissions, then Download your information. Instagram prepares an archive of your photos, videos and Reels and sends it to you. It covers your entire history, not just recent posts, and it is free. The exact menu names change from time to time, but the feature has been there for years.

If it's someone else's public profile, or you want something faster than waiting for Instagram's archive, read on.

Option 1: one post at a time, free

Copy the link of each post from Instagram's share menu, paste it into Pullgrab and download. Photos, videos, Reels and every slide of a carousel are supported, in original quality, with no account and no watermark. This is the right choice for a handful of posts. It gets slow beyond about ten.

Option 2: a ZIP of the latest 30 public posts, with Pullgrab Pro

With Pullgrab Pro you enter just the username of a public profile on your Account page. Pullgrab collects the profile's latest 30 public posts and builds one ZIP with the photos, videos and every carousel slide in original quality. Inside is a manifest.txt that lists each file next to the link of the post it came from, so you can always find the original. You get an email with a download link, valid for 48 hours. A typical profile takes a minute or two.

Know the limits: it is the latest 30 posts per export, not the entire history. Stories, highlights and captions are not included, and the number of exports per month is capped. Anything older than the 30 most recent posts needs Option 1 or, for your own account, the official export.

What no tool can do

Private accounts, close-friends stories and anything that requires logging in to view cannot be downloaded by any tool that respects Instagram's access rules, Pullgrab included. If a profile is private, only its owner can export it. Pullgrab never asks for your Instagram login.

Which one should you pick?

Your own account and its full history: Instagram's official export. A few specific posts: Pullgrab, free. The recent posts of a public profile in one go: the Pullgrab Pro ZIP.

Is this legal?

Download only content you own or are authorized to save and reuse. Copyright stays with whoever made it. Archiving your own content, or content you have permission to keep, is the intended use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download an entire Instagram profile?

Not someone else's whole history with a simple tool. For your own account, yes, with Instagram's official export. For a public profile, Pullgrab Pro exports the latest 30 posts in one ZIP.

Does the ZIP include captions?

No. It contains the original photo and video files plus a manifest.txt that links each file to its post, where the caption lives.

Can I export a private account?

No. Only public profiles, and Pullgrab never asks for your Instagram login.

How long does the export take?

Usually a minute or two. You get an email with a download link that stays valid for 48 hours.
